The land in question was given to Wipro Ltd under a govt policy to promote IT and ITeS, it was subsequently taken over by the APIIC for not providing employment as per the land allotment norms - Dr Gedela Srinubabu, Founder and CEO, Pulsus Group

Visakhapatnam: Pulsus Group founder and CEO Dr Gedela Srinubabu, who is medical and healthcare publisher and researcher, has lodged a complaint against Wipro for giving a part of a building in Visakhapatnam on rent claiming it as its owner.

He told Bizz Buzz on Friday that the city police registered a case following a directive from a local court after a complaint by Pulsus Group (Omics International Pvt Ltd) that a serious corporate fraud was committed by Wipro Ltd by illegally leasing out commercial property in the city despite lacking ownership rights.

The lease allegedly involved multiple floors in a building at Survey No. 39P of Resapuvanipalem, leased through unregistered agreements. The complaint said Wipro leased out the premises seeking inflated rent based on exaggerated footage. The Pulsus Group claimed that due to this, they suffered severe operational and financial damage including being barred from obtaining SEZ export permissions and linking exports culminating in losses exceeding Rs.103 crore between 2019 to 2022.

An FIR (No. 28/2025) was filed on February 20, 2025, at Dwarka Police Station under IPC 403, 417 and 153 (3) of CR PC following an order by the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dr. Srinubabu said. He informed that they vacated the premises and are now operating from their building on Hill No. 2 at Rushikonda for the past several months.

He said though the land in question was given to Wipro Ltd under a government policy to promote IT and ITeS, it was subsequently taken over by the APIIC for not providing employment as per the land allotment norms.
